In Loving Memory of Margarita Meno "Ta" Yoshida


The IRA family extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to the family of Margarita Meno Yoshida, fondly known as “Ta” (familian Anako/Tisu) of Malojloj. Ta, a loving IRA friend and grandmother of IRA President-Elect, Margaret "Yoshi" Asuncion, was called to her eternal rest on April 13, 2010 at the age of 90. She will always be remembered. May she rest in peace.

Rosary is being at 6:30 p.m. weekdays and Sunday, followed by Mass at 7 p.m., with rosary on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 6 p.m. at San Isidro Church, Malojloj.

Funeral plans will be announced later.

Guam Author and Storyteller, Dottie Wintterle, to Hold Autograph Session April 10


Guam author and storyteller, Dottie Wintterle, will hold an autograph session for her new book titled Silent and Forgotten on April 10, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the IP Coffee Company in Mangilao.

Wintterle is the author of Grandma's Love and Grandpa's Love. She has been an educator for over forty years, specializing in elementary education. She came to Guam in 1969 as a teacher with a two-year contract and has made Guam her home ever since.

Eric Ode Captivates Angels at LBJ Elementary School!

LBJ Elementary School, known as the "Home of the Angels" was treated with an author visit by Eric Ode. The angels were captivated by his lively performance and writing process he shared, as part of poetry writing.
