IRA Co-Sponsors Annual Regional Language Arts Conference
The 29th Annual Regional Language Arts Conference held on November 18 and 19, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Guam was a success! Its theme was “Reading Writing Together: Collaborate to Callibrate.” The keynote speaker was Dr. Kevin Colleary who focused on "Reading Content, Reading Opinion, Reading Narrative: Reading ALL Sorts of Writing Together!" The plenary speaker was Dr. Margaruite Smith who focused on "Common Core Standards." The LAC was co-sponsored by the Guam Council of the International Reading Association. *Please note that there is a conference fee to attend the LAC. IRA members pay a discounted fee. Be sure to mention that you are an IRA member in order to receive the discounted rate.
