January ILA Meeting Snapshots

Biba Anu Nuebu (Happy New Year)!  This morning we were delighted to hear two captivating stories from young local authors who shared their love of reading.  The January 15, 2022 meeting started out with dazzling Disney music prior to the start of the first Read Aloud conducted by Meravelle Duran who read her book titled Petmisu.  The second Read Aloud was conducted by Ezarrah Blas who read her book titled Kiko, Ana, and the Fire Breathing Dragons.  Both books have a local touch that the people of Guam can connect with.  You'll have to buy the books to read all about it!  Wonderful prizes of calendars, gift certificates, books written by today's featured authors, etc. were also given away to many of our members who joined us during this special literacy event.  Enjoy the following snapshots, and we'll see you at our Read-A-Thon Kickoff on February 19, 2022!
