PRESS RELEASE: LAC Postponed

The Chairs of the 28th Annual Regional Language Arts Conference 2015: Literacy for the Content Areas, regret to inform you that this year’s conference will be postponed. We realize this may seem premature in that we don’t know the exact path of the storm In Fa; however, in the best interest of your safety and overall participation of the conference we felt best to postpone!
 
Refunds for registration fees will be provided to all registrants. We will do our best to make sure this happens in a timely fashion and we ask that you re-register for the conference when the date has been determined.

*Please note that there is a conference fee to attend the LAC. IRA members pay a discounted fee. Be sure to mention that you are an IRA member in order to receive the discounted rate.

**You can also earn 2 graduate credits for recertification purposes. You must be registered for the LAC before you can register for the PD894 LAC course. For course inquiries, e-mail Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera at mnrivera1@yahoo.com.

Guam Council IRA in partnership with PIBBA Guam Chapter promotes literacy in Micronesia

GC-IRA-PIBBA Guam Chapter book donation to Kosrae DOE 

GC-IRA-PIBBA Guam Chapter book donation to CNMI PSS 

The Guam Council IRA-PIBBA Guam Literacy Project:  As part of GC-IRA's mission to promote literacy in Guam and Micronesian, they have partnered up with the Pacific Islands Bilingual Bicultural Association (PIBBA) Guam Chapter to donate books to children in the various islands in Micronesian.  This year, Okkodo High School students participated in a service learning project that provided books for GC-IRA and PIBBA Guam Chapter to give the students of Kosrae and CNMI the gift of literacy with a collection of children's and young adult books.  The book donation was presented at the 34th Annual International PIBBA Conference in Kosrae, FSM.  Si Yu'os Ma'ase'!  Kuloh!

Guam Council IRA Donates Books to GMH Volunteers Association Program
