First Virtual Guam IRA Community Book Fair A Success!

The Annual Guam IRA Community Book Fair held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 via Zoom was a success!  Guam IRA was not going to let the COVID-19 pandemic spoil its efforts to promote literacy in the community.  It held its first virtual Community Book Fair with meaningful Read Alouds by authors Dr. Clare Camacho, as well as Gerard and Mary Aflague.  Guam IRA members, families, and friends were also treated to an exciting performance by local singing artist and educator, Jack Larimer.  The community was able to purchase an array of paperback and hardcover books, young adult literature, novelties, and more at http://iraguam.shop. There were also countless prizes, including books donated by Dr. Camacho, the Aflague’s, and UOG Press.  Moreover, a check donation was made to the University of Guam Language Arts Conference Committee.  Thank you for joining us in our 20th community book fair in celebration of promoting literacy! Enjoy the following snapshots, and we hope to see you next year!
